Pastor | CrossRoads Daytona

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A man of character meeting the spiritual qualifications for a pastor based on Titus 1 and 1 Timothy 3
  • Seminary or Bible College degree (3 year minimum)
  • Minimum of 5 years of full-time ministry experience as an assistant pastor or pastor in a church with a regular worship attendance of 500 or greater preferred
  • Experience successfully overseeing operating budget of $1 million or more as the Senior Pastor, Executive Pastor, or Administrator preferred.
  • Effective leadership skills with a track record of successfully recruiting, training, and developing leaders for various ministries within the church.
  • Ability to clearly instruct and inspire, through Biblical teaching and practical application.
  • A track record of being in doctrinal alignment with CrossRoads statement of faith
  • A track record of holding a conviction for preaching/teaching from a KJV (or MEV) Bible in his current church.
  • A track record of ‘rightly dividing the word”.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Preach the gospel weekly and preach the whole counsel of the Word of God, rightly divided.
  • Serve as President of the Corporation; and the Lead Pastor and active Board of Deacons shall serve as Trustees of the Corporation.
  • Determine the number of Deacons constituting the Deacon Board, but it shall be a minimum of three (3) Deacons.
  • He or the Chairman shall publicly inform all newly elected officers of the particular function and responsibilities of their respective offices.
  • Schedule and attend regular Deacons meetings.
  • Moderate at all Church meetings for the transaction of Church matters.
  • Supervise the teaching ministries of The Church.
  • Tenderly watch over the spiritual interests of the membership.
  • Oversee the leadership and direction of all officers, employed staff, and volunteers of The Church.
  • Bible Conferences, Missions Conferences, and revivals may be held as the Lead Pastor deems beneficial.
  • The Lead Pastor or Administrative Pastor and Church Treasurer shall be involved in the approval process for expenditures.
  • Extend the right hand of fellowship to all new members on behalf of The Church and perform such other duties as generally appertain to such a position such as teaching Discovering CrossRoads classes for new members and weekly home visitation of first-time guests.
  • Call a council together to approve a candidate for ordination or licensing.
  • Teach/Equip/mentor others for ministry with other classes during the year (Rightly Dividing the Word, Preparing & Presenting God’s Word, Spiritual Gifts, Apprentice/Leadership, etc.)
  • Weekly visitation to church members in hospital, etc.
  • Preach funerals and officiate weddings of CrossRoads members.
