Welcome to a new day in the life of The Baptist College of Florida! This is the first issue of the Eagle's Nest, a monthly newsletter that is being sent to family, friends and supporters of the College. Our Lord is displaying His amazing grace and power in the life of this unique school. I want you to celebrate His blessings along with us.

Music News:

Don Hustead said in his classic text on church music that the nature of training a musician is schizophrenic! He was trying to say that there is so much music out there to be used in the worship of God. In March, the Division of Music and Worship will demonstrate the schizophrenic nature of music. On Friday evening, March 12, 2010, the Division will host "I AM: An Evening of Worship." This is what we are about. This is who we are. We were created to worship. Alumni, prospective students and anyone else who wants to participate in the choir or orchestra are invited to participate.

Music is also the major form of media entertainment in the world today. On Thursday, March 18, 2010 and Friday, March 19, 2010 the College Singers will showcase the music of the 1950's and 1960's in a show called "Guys and Glams." All the favorites from that era are included in an old-fashioned drive-in burger joint setting. There will be soda floats available for a nominal fee and snacks on the table for free. Tickets are $10.00 per person and are available through the Business Office at 850-263-3261 extension 421.
