The Baptist College of Florida joins our Southern Baptist family in mourning the loss and praising Christ for the life of Clint Clifton, husband to Jennifer Clifton and father to Noah, Ruthe, Isaiah, Betchina, and Moses Clifton, who died in a plane crash on the evening of January 12, 2023. Clifton, a graduate of The Baptist College of Florida received his B.A. in Church Music in December of 2001. After his graduation Clint leveraged his life to advance the gospel in various ministry positions and was widely known for his work as a church planter and elder at Pillar Church in Dumfries, VA, as well as his role with the North American Mission Board as Senior Director of Resource and Research Strategy. After the news was released late Friday a host of Clint’s friends, coworkers, and classmates talked about his friendship and ministry that halved other’s sorrows and doubled their joys. One of his friends from his time at BCF, Micah Fries, said the following: “I first met Clint when he and Jennifer were freshmen at The Baptist College of Florida and I was a Sophomore. He’s been a friend for over 20 years and I’ve watched him be a godly man who loved his family and who served the church faithfully.” May we all seek to leave a legacy like that of Clint Clifton; a legacy of treasuring Christ, serving the church faithfully, and loving our families until the end.
