Each year, faculty, staff, and students at The Baptist College of Florida (BCF) in Graceville, help visitors from all around the area usher in the holiday season with a heartwarming beginning during the annual Christmas musical performance and the Holiday Heritage Festival. This year’s Christmas musicals will be held in the R. G. Lee Chapel on November 17 @ 7:00 p.m. and November 18 @ 9:30 a.m. The annual Holiday Heritage Festival is scheduled for Friday, November 18, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., located in Heritage Village just off of Sanders Avenue.
Guests, young and those more seasoned, will enjoy the fun and festive events as the holiday season begins on The Baptist College of Florida campus. The Music and Worship Division always delights the crowd with traditional Christmas carols as well as more recent musical pieces that bring a smile every time. According to BCF Music and Worship Division Chair Bill Davis, special performances will include the BCF College Singers, Guitar Ensemble, Jazz Band, and multiple faculty and student solo artists. Tickets are available “Free” by contacting Mrs. Renee McKinney at 850-263-3261 ext. 427.
A plethora of enjoyable activities are planned for the much-anticipated Holiday Heritage Festival held in the Village. Throughout the afternoon there will be skilled artisans sharing memories of the “good ole days” as they demonstrate cane grinding, syrup making, and display their homemade arts and crafts. Visitors will have an opportunity to purchase items from some of the craft vendors, as well as enjoy the food items provided by the Faculty and Staff Wives including homemade chili, hot dogs, and chicken purlieu, with all of the proceeds collected going directly into the BCF scholarship fund.
