The Baptist College of Florida (BCF) was able to participate in the exciting South Florida Baptist Association Youth Rally, “DISRUPT: Break from The Norm,” held on Saturday, February 26. According to BCF Lakeland Site Administrator Stephen Thomas there were over 200 young people gathered at Crestview Baptist Church in Lakeland Fla., ready to worship and also hear about the academic opportunities available at The Baptist College of Florida in Lakeland.
Before the service, students had a sweet time of fun and fellowship and enjoyed some nutritional food from a Taco Bell food truck. The guest speaker was Baptist Collegiate Ministry (BCM) Director Jay Sanders followed by an inspirational time of praise and worship led by Evangel City.
During the evening, Thomas was able to share about the BCF degrees available in Lakeland and answer any questions from the large group of students that attended. There was a drawing for a $500 BCF scholarship and the winner was Ellie Grady who is a current dual enrolled student with BCF and interested in pursuing a bachelor’s degree in missions.
