The Baptist College of Florida (BCF) in Graceville is committed to providing top quality Christian higher education to students whether on campus or online. Thankfully, the extra efforts to make sure online students receive the same training and preparation have not gone unnoticed with BCF being ranked 8th in the Top Ten Best Online Theology Programs in 2022 by “OnlineU” a higher-education research publisher.
According to OnlineU, “rankings are based on the median early-career salary data of over 3 million graduates from the U.S. Department of Education's resource, College Scorecard.” Ranking 8th means that “BCF alumni are earning well above the median and more than most theology grads across the country.”
“I am certainly not surprised at being ranked in the Top Ten Online Theology programs,” stated BCF Theology Division Chair Rich Elligson. “We have been offering online courses for more than twenty years. And our coursework—whether online or on campus—has always been topnotch, and our graduates continue to prove it.”
From the very beginning, BCF initiated several strategies to support students taking online classes. Strategies included Orientation to Online Learning and the First Year Initiative (FYI) courses, both of which help students acclimate to college level course work and introduce tools to facilitate success while learning online. The ranking among the Top Ten Best Online Theology Programs is testament to the commitment BCF has to supporting students in the online programs.
