The first full week of chapel is always an exciting time at The Baptist College of Florida (BCF) in Graceville, FL. Faculty, staff, and students entered the chapel for services led by BCF's President Thomas A. Kinchen. As is the custom, the President takes the time in the first week of chapel to greet both new and returning students, as well as, updating any information about the summer activities or upcoming events. Chapel services are intended to motivate and encourage individuals in their walk with the Lord. Kinchen shared from his heart a wonderful message on Romans 11 and 12 and asked the simple question, "How can we get through this?" Kinchen then answered by saying, "When we recognize who God is, and when we recognize who we are, that's how we all get through this."
In addition to the first week of chapel, a list of all chapel speakers can be found on the school's website at www.baptistcollege.edu. Chapel speakers generally include the president of The Baptist College of Florida, BCF professors, local pastors, and those in important positions within the Southern Baptist Convention and the Florida Baptist Convention.
Chapel services are held in the R.G. Lee Chapel on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday of every week at 10:00 a.m. (CST). Each service provides the opportunity for spiritual growth and a chance to hear the exceptional speakers who have been invited by Dr. Kinchen. The general public is invited to join the faculty, students, and staff here at BCF each week.
The chapel services on campus are just another representation of how BCF is equipping students to be effective in the fields of ministry, missions, evangelism, and many more in hopes of "Changing the World through the Unchanging Word®." Chapel gives the students a place where they can lift up their hands and voices in an opportunity to worship the Lord.
