Pianist Lawrence Quinnett to perform at The Baptist College of Florida on February 4, 2016.

The Music and Worship Division at The Baptist College of Florida (BCF) in Graceville, will host a recital by acclaimed pianist Lawrence Quinnett at 7:00 p.m. on February 4, 2016 in the R.G. Lee Chapel. Quinnett is an active concert pianist who has played solo and chamber music in the United States and abroad. He has appeared as concerto soloist with the National Repertory Orchestra and the FSU University Symphony Orchestra, as well as given concerts in St. Kitts, London, various cities in the UK, and colleges and universities in Alabama, Tennessee, and North Carolina. Quinnett has been the featured performer at the Music at Mains Series at the Jacksonville Public Library, the 2015 Montserrat Music Festival, and the Central Florida Music Teacher’s Association.

In addition to performing, Quinnett maintains a small private studio in Dothan, teaches piano at Wallace Community College and attends to the duties of a church music ministry. He holds the Doctor of Music degree from Florida State University where he earned first prize in the 2013 Doctoral Concerto Competition. An inquisitive musician, Quinnett’s interests include chamber music, harpsichord, new music and music theory.
