The Music and Worship Division at The Baptist College of Florida (BCF) in Graceville will be presenting two concerts in May. The first concert will be held on Thursday, May 7, at 7:00 p.m. (CST) in the R.G. Lee Chapel located on the Graceville campus. The second concert will be held on Friday, May 8, at 7:30 p.m. at the Dothan Opera House in Dothan, Alabama.

The concerts will feature the impeccable talent of the BCF Music and Worship Division to include the College Choir, Women’s Ensemble, College Singers, Male Chorale, Guitar Ensemble, and the College and Community Orchestras. Musical selections will include Joy in the Morning, by Natalie Sleeth; Dry Your Tears, Afrika, music by John Williams, adapted by Audrey Snyder and lyrics from the poem written by Bernard Dadie; I Hear America Singing, by Andre’ Thomas, quoting the “Spiritual Walk Together, Children”; My God is So High, arranged by Moses Hogan, adapted for male voices by Bob Burroughs; and We Believe, by Ritchie Fike, Matthew Hooper, Travis Ryan, arranged by Cliff Duren.

The second performance, May 8 at the Dothan Opera House, will include the Community Orchestra’s performance of “The Wiregrass Symphony,” which is a piece commissioned by the orchestra based on the Murals of Dothan. In addition, the Wiregrass Youth Symphony will present a selection during the evening performance.
