Dr. Robert Smith, Jr. to lead the Annual Pastor’s Conference at The Baptist College of Florida on October 19 beginning at 10:00 a.m.

On October 19, The Baptist College of Florida (BCF) in Graceville will host the second annual Pastor’s Conference beginning at 10:00 a.m. (CST) in the R. G. Lee Chapel. This year, the conference will feature Robert Smith, Jr., the holder of the Charles T. Carter Chair of Divinity at Beeson Divinity School, as the guest lecturer. Smith is a renowned writer, a passionate preacher, and has a wellspring of experience to both challenge and encourage fellow pastors, students, ministers and laborers of the Gospel.

An ordained Baptist minister, Smith served as the pastor of the New Mission Missionary Baptist Church in Cincinnati, Ohio for twenty years. As a popular teacher and preacher, Smith received The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary’s Findley B. Edge Award for Teaching Excellence in 1996 and previously served as the Carl E. Bates Associate Professor of Christian Preaching at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY. Smith has spoken at more than 110 universities, colleges, and seminaries in the United States, Great Britain, Middle East, Africa, Australia, New Zealand and the Caribbean.

As noted, the conference will begin with Smith preaching in the R. G. Lee Chapel beginning at 10:00 a.m. (CST) followed by lunch and two afternoon sessions including “Strengthening and Enhancing Preaching” and “Preaching with Passion.”
