BCF Deese Center Grand Opening Ceremony Invitation.

The Baptist College of Florida (BCF) President Thomas A. Kinchen extends a personal invitation to the entire community to attend the Official Grand Opening Ceremony of the new state-of-the-art dining facility, the Deese Center, on November 17 at 1:00 p.m. (CST). The grand opening celebration includes acknowledging the building completion and publicly announces the facility as “open for business” during this time of reflection and giving thanks for all of the hard work poured into the elegant dining center.

The Deese Center is named in honor and memory of Ty Deese by his parents, George and Glenda Deese, who are not only generous but gracious supporters of The Baptist College of Florida. An intimate gathering of family and close friends was held on October 30, dedicating the Deese Center and recognizing the Deese family. At the dedication ceremony, Kinchen emphatically proclaimed, “We will feed the people in this place so that they will go out and feed the hearts in the little churches at the crossroads, and the great cathedrals in the cities...”

The completion of the Deese Center is one of several milestones reached in the college’s aggressive 20/20 Vision. In May 2013, the Board of Trustees of The Baptist College of Florida unanimously approved the president’s Master Plan for the redevelopment and expansion of the Graceville campus known as the 20/20 Vision. The plan for the campus will provide BCF with additional classrooms, new student housing, versatile meeting spaces, and technology centers supporting a growing and diverse student body.

Meals will be served in the Deese Center beginning November 9, with selections ranging from chicken fingers to the best fine-dining options imaginable. Please make plans to attend the Official Grand Opening of the Deese Center on November 17 at 1:00 p.m. for refreshments and a special tour of the facility including the banquet room which is the new home of the “Glory of God” art collection.
