The United States Army Field Band Jazz Ambassadors to perform on The Baptist College of Florida campus November 6 @ 7:00 p.m.

On Friday, November 6, The Baptist College of Florida (BCF) in Graceville will host a free concert featuring the prestigious United States Army Field Band Jazz Ambassadors. The Jazz Ambassadors are a 20 member jazz ensemble founded in 1969 and the official touring “Big Band” of The United States Army.

The band features talented musicians and gifted soloists who provide entertainment that appeals to all-ages and musical tastes. Performance pieces will include big band swing, standards, popular tunes, Dixieland, Bebop, Latino and patriotic selections. The band is well-known and well-travelled both at home and overseas. In addition to appearing in all fifty states, the band has performed in Canada, Mexico, Japan, India, and throughout Europe. Heralded as the military’s most traveled musicians, the band has been featured in major concerts and international jazz festivals as well as a tour through Europe to commemorate the fiftieth anniversary of the end of World War Two. The Ambassadors have participated in joint concerts with some of the most popular major orchestras including the Detroit and Baltimore symphonies.
