BCF President Thomas A. Kinchen greets alumni, friends of the college, and prospective students in the exhibit booth area at the Southern Baptist Convention.

Representatives from The Baptist College of Florida (BCF) in Graceville attended the historic Southern Baptist Convention held recently in New Orleans. During the meeting some of the best booth discussions centered on the crimson and gold beads (BCF school colors) representing the cross and the crown. Those receiving the beads were encouraged to share the good news of redemption that they represent.

Over 100 alumni visited the BCF exhibit booth where friendships were renewed, ministry challenges were shared, and updated versions of the quarterly magazine and the 2012-2013 catalogs were circulated. "During this meeting of the SBC, we had some of the finest visits with alumni that I have ever experienced," stated BCF President Thomas A. Kinchen. "I am amazed at how our Lord is using these very special folks to serve Him literally around the world. One of the great joys of a long tenure at BCF is the chance to visit with generations of alumni. Seeing these folks, I am convinced that the very best days for this great school are in our future. The meeting of the SBC in 2012 was historic, and I am sure that BCF will be at the center of many more historic times."
