In addition to the important deliberations and decisions voted on at the Southern Baptist Convention held in Orlando June 15-16, 2010, The Baptist College of Florida (BCF) in Graceville, Fla., was able to reconnect with old friends and make new ones from their spot in the convention exhibit hall.

Alumni, friends, and prospective students alike stopped by the BCF exhibit booth for free pens, bags, and informational materials. Each one greeted by members of the BCF faculty, staff, and senior administration as they shared stories of earlier days. Many future students, upon hearing the mission and heart of BCF, immediately filled out request cards to obtain more information about the college that is making such an impact.

On Tuesday morning, a special gathering was held in honor of Thomas A. Kinchen's 20th anniversary as BCF President. The booth was packed as generations of alumni and friends throughout Southern Baptist life wished Kinchen their congratulations and appreciation.

The meeting hall and exhibit hall wasn't the only presence that BCF had at the Southern Baptist Convention. Nine BCF students were invited to join others from Baptist Collegiate Ministry (BCM) groups across the country to assist in the registration process for the convention. Over 11,000 messengers registered for the SBC, many of whom were directly impacted by the smiling face and cheerful disposition of BCF's students.
