Many times colleges and universities are the birthplaces of marriages and families, and The Baptist College of Florida (BCF) in Graceville is no exception. The Terrebonnes of Frostproof, Fla., are one such family that came to prepare for areas of service and ministry and left with a special place in their hearts for Graceville.

Shane Terrebonne graduated from BCF with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Christian Education. It was by the shore of Lake Albert that he proposed to Karen, who later became a BCF student. They lived near Ezell Park when they first married, and when their son, Titus Nehemiah, was born in 1991 they were living in what is now the southwest apartments. Titus spent his first few weeks of life in the daycare center at BCF. Karen remarked, "Dr. Burns gave me a 100 on a pop quiz because I actually started into labor during one of his class periods."

Titus is now in his second year at BCF majoring in Ministry. He is the third generation of men in the Terrebonne family to accept the call to ministry as a pastor. As his mother recently shared, "Now, Titus has found his future wife, Jessica Rose Harris, at BCF and I am sure the Lord has exciting things in store for their future."

The Terrebonne Family is just one example, among many, of the strong Christian families that began at BCF and have filtered around the world sharing the message of Christ. In sharing her family's story, Karen said, "Thanks to Dr. Kinchen and the faculty and staff of BCF for continuing a strong Christian heritage and tradition of training pastors."
