BCF Professor Angela Glover serves as a judge at the Renaissance Festival in Dothan.

The music faculty at The Baptist College of Florida (BCF) in Graceville are frequently asked to judge or perform during music festivals, workshops, conventions and conferences. This past week Associate Professor of Piano Angela Glover was asked to participate in the Renaissance Music Festival in Dothan, Ala., as a judge and performer.

Dedicated not only to the students she teaches at BCF, Glover was selected to judge because of her musical expertise, experience and years of musical training. "The judging was very enjoyable," stated Glover. "I heard students of all levels and ages, starting with age five. It was refreshing to hear so many students that were excited about excelling in piano."

After lending her talents to the festival by giving unbiased criticism of the musicians competing, she also showcased her gift of music by partnering with Rosemary Hunter to perform a piano duo in the Renaissance Music Festival's recital Sunday, March 7. "I wanted the audience to feel the excitement of the Mozart Sonata for Two Pianos," stated Glover. "I hope the performance was true to Mozart's style, with clean passage work and phrasings."
