BCF College Winds perform in the R.G. Lee Chapel.
The Baptist College of Florida (BCF) in Graceville takes pleasure in concluding each semester with special programs and performances that showcase the many talents of its students. One such event will be held on Thursday, May 6 at 7 p.m. as the BCF College Winds will present their Spring Concert featuring the music of composer Aaron Copland.
Copland is widely known as "the Dean of American Composers." He balanced modern music with classic American folk styles, and his creations were used in concert and film music. He was a teacher, lecturer, critic, writer, composer and conductor.
The BCF College Winds will perform a wide range of Copland's compositions under the direction of BCF Associate Professor Ron Branning. The concert is free and open to the public. For more information, please call 800-328-2660 ext. 427.
