BCF ANNOUNCES CHAPEL SPEAKERS
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
April 14, 2010
Classes are winding down and students are preparing for final exams which makes attending chapel at The Baptist College of Florida (BCF) in Graceville a much needed refuge for students. With just three weeks of services left before Spring graduation, the Graceville campus is buzzing in anticipation of more inspiring messages proclaimed from the pulpit in the R.G. Lee Chapel.
The Senior Pastor of Mount Gilead Baptist Church in Dothan, Ala., Bradley Rushing will open services Monday, April 19 at 10 a.m. He is a native of Tylertown, Miss., and has served as senior pastor in four churches during his ministry thus far. He received a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics from Mississippi College. He then obtained a Master's of Divinity, Master's of Theology, and a Doctor of Philosophy majoring in preaching from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.
Tuesday's service will be led by another Dothan pastor, Ricky Plummer, from Bethel Baptist Church. Plummer has a Bachelor's Degree from Troy State University and a Master's Degree in Biblical Studies from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He is currently pursuing a Doctor of Ministry Degree from New Orleans.
One of BCF'S own will round out the week Wednesday morning. Associate Professor of Old Testament James O. Newell will deliver the message on April 21. BCF President Thomas A. Kinchen welcomed Newell and his family to the campus in 2005. He served as pastor of First Baptist Church of Jasper, Ala., before becoming part of the BCF faculty.
