LOCAL PASTORS TO SPEAK IN BCF CHAPEL
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
April 8, 2010
Thomas A. Kinchen, President of The Baptist College of Florida (BCF) in Graceville, Fla., has invited three area pastors to speak in chapel services April 12 through April 14.
The pastor of Ridgecrest Baptist Church, Ray Jones, will open the week's services on Monday in the R.G. Lee Chapel at 10 a.m. Jones began his ministry at Ridgecrest in February 2001, adding more than 1,700 members and baptizing over 800 over the last nine years. Prior to serving as pastor at Ridgecrest, Jones led the Personal Evangelism Division for the North American Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention.
Jones has a bachelor's degree from Samford University and Dallas Baptist University in Theology and History. His graduate studies are through New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.
Another Dothan pastor will deliver Tuesday's message, Johnny Fain of the First Baptist Church of Dothan. He has served at First Baptist for three and a half years and is a native of Eufaula, Ala. Fain earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Montevallo, a masters of Divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and a doctorate from the Southern Baptist School of Biblical Studies.
Not only a highly respected local pastor, but an admired BCF alumnus Henry Fullington will be bringing the message in chapel on Wednesday. Returning to his alma mater, Fullington is a 2004 graduate of BCF and pastor at Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Bascom, Fla. Prior to his arrival at Mt Olive in June, 2009, Fullington served as pastor at Union Springs Baptist Church in Newville, Ala., for five years. His wife Judy is the administrative assistant to BCF Senior Vice President R.C. Hammack.
