BRIANT TO OPEN THIRD WEEK OF CHAPEL

Dr. Wayne Briant is schedule to preach in the R.G. Lee Chapel Feb. 1 and Feb. 2 at The Baptist College of Florida.
Dr. R. Wayne Briant, pastor of Southside Baptist Church (SBC) in Sarasota, Fla., will fill the pulpit in the R. G. Lee Chapel at The Baptist College of Florida on Monday, Feb. 1, and Tuesday, Feb. 2, beginning at 10 a.m. CST. During Briant's 19 years of service at Southside, over 1200 people have been baptized into the membership and more than 300 members have joined their congregation by transfer of letter. Southside has been recognized three times by the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary as being in the top one-half of one percent of churches in the Southern Baptist Convention in evangelistic effectiveness.
Briant has served churches in Florida, the Pacific Northwest and Oklahoma. He currently serves as the First-Vice President for the Florida Baptist Convention and a Trustee of The Baptist College of Florida. Notably Briant was a 2007 participant on the Oxford Round Table in Oxford, England.
