BCF OFFERS WOMEN'S STUDIES COURSE ONLINE

In response to the need to train leaders in establishing and organizing women's ministries in local churches, Dr. Juliette M. Patrick will be teaching an online women's studies course during the Spring 2009 semester at The Baptist College of Florida (BCF) in Graceville, Florida.

The course topics will include developing and leading a women's ministry in a local church setting, developing the vision for a women's ministry, organization of a ministry to women, acquiring, mentoring, and equipping leaders for such a ministry, ongoing administration, and the planning of special events for women's ministries. The course will consist of notes and assignments from the instructor, interaction by students via the internet, personal study by the students, online exams, readings, and research assignments. As an online course, students will interact with the professor and other class participants through forums and chat rooms.

The goal of the course is to equip women in designing a women's ministry program, explore the Biblical basis for women ministering to women, identify resources available to women, introduce a balanced concept of ministry and encourage women to evaluate and assess the value and impact of women's ministry in local churches.
