BCF students take time to participate in the Constitution Day activities.

The Baptist College of Florida (BCF) in Graceville celebrated the 221st anniversary of the signing of the Constitution that took place in 1787 at the Pennsylvania State House (now called Independence Hall) by providing students with copies of the Constitution and displaying a replica of the original document in the common area. The anniversary date, September 17, is set aside for educational institutions to take time for remembering and reflecting on the sacrifice, vision, and significance of the United States Constitution.

According to BCF History Professor Roger Richards it is important to remind ourselves as Americans what our rights are as citizens, and also what our responsibilities are toward each other and our government. "As we re-examine our governing documents, we are encouraged to be involved in our government."
