MCLAUGHLIN AND MINSHEW PREACH IN CHAPEL

Don McLaughlin, Pastor of Parkway Baptist Church in Tallahassee, FL, and Don Minshew, Pastor of Wellborn Baptist Church in Wellborn, FL, preached in the R.G. Lee Chapel September 2-3 at The Baptist College of Florida (BCF).

McLaughlin began the service Tuesday morning with a message taken from Matthew 26 titled, "Where the church is at...Uncertainty." McLaughlin centered his sermon around the necessity for trusting God's Word in our churches, stating, "The church needs reaffirmation from God's Word. Are we going to live what we preach? We must guard what we believe in what God's Word says."

On Wednesday, Don Minshew closed chapel week with a sermon from the book of Acts, sharing personal stories from his life on the mission field and Scriptural truths about the spiritual journeys of both Barnabas and Paul. "The spiritual journey begins with spiritual investments and a first step," stated Minshew. "It is also marked by intersections of relationships, includes periods of great success, and moments of crisis." Through the story of Paul's conversion and Barnabas' determination to help and encourage, Minshew challenged BCF students, faculty and staff to do the same.

Although the Labor Day holiday reduced the weekly chapel services from three to two, according to BCF senior, John Harrell, "It didn't matter that this week only had two chapel services because both of these men were amazing preachers who brought enough power to the pulpit to fill the absent Monday!"

Everyone is invited each Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday to come and listen as hand selected speakers come and preach the Word of God in the R.G. Lee Chapel beginning at 10 am.
