History and Social Studies Secondary Education Major

The major in History and Social Studies Secondary Education is designed to prepare a person to teach in a specialization (Social Studies) in grades 6-12 (middle and/or senior high school) in public or private school fields. For professional certification, one should consult BCF’s Education Department as well as the state board of education for requirements for teaching in a particular state.
