History and Social Studies Major
The major in Social Studies Education is designed to prepare a person to teach in a specialization (Social Studies) in grades 6-12 (middle and/or senior high school) in public or private school fields. For professional certification, one should consult BCF’s Education Department as well as the state board of education for requirement for teaching in a particular state.
